    Another shooting massacre..New York

Yes, another one. This is getting ridiculous. Why have we seen such a surge is gun related crime since the election? And not just one on one shootings, but massacres. Am I the only one who think's there may be more underlying here? Am I crazy for thinking these may be "set-ups"? What? What is it? Someone please help me understand, because all I can see here is more fodder for the anti-gun, Brady bonanza nut cases to use against us. Or am I wrong? Why do these crimes seem more prevalent now? Could it be that these are crazies put into action by those who know that the only way to take our guns away is to "prove" to everyone how dangerous they are? Or are people just that crazy? And if people are so crazy as not to be trusted with guns, should they take them away from all of us? Because you know they will if they get half the chance.

If someone comes out and says those shooters were encouraged and paid , their families paid or in any way helped- I am very close to believing some of it is true. It's like textbook PR guide. Get the public opinion in the right direction and manipulate this country any where you want. Who remembers 911?

Yeah this doesn't seem to me to be a complete dupe, as there are certain aspects the OP wants to discuss beyond the shooting itself.

Have they said what gun was used? I keep reading "high powered rifle" and don't entirely know what that could constitute. Would an AK or an SKS count?

Thanks. There's so many questions in my mind right now.

And absolutely, an AK or an SKS would be construed(sp?) as a "high-powered rifle". But then again, one could make the argument that a .22lr is a "high-powered" rifle? or a .17HMR and obviously a .223/5.56

I'm just feeling more like there COULD be a conspiracy against the Constitution when these types of incidents happen.

sorry if I hurt your feelings... I am not the dupe police, but I saw this same topic in another area earlier today and I generally think it's helpful to have a discussion in one thread where everyone can chime in. If you want to bring up a point for discussion, why not do it in a thread that's already going? If you want to be the one to "start" a thread, go for it... whatever floats your boat dude.

as to your insightful questions, yes, there are a lot of shootings lately... Alabama, San Jose, Oakland, NY.... are they "set ups"? you ask... I really doubt that. I don't think the anti's are recruiting their own suicide squads to go prove their case in the media. I think there are a lot of disturbed people out there who are looking for their own 15 minutes of glory.

                There... how's that. Happy now?

With the new administration, maybe more people are going crazy. I am sure more gun control proposal is on the way. This is the perfect opportunity for the anti-gun people's propaganda.

+1. There were already 4 or 5 NY shooter threads going on when you started this thread. Was your question asked in any of those? DId you check?

Yes, I did check and no my question wasn't asked in any of those. And quite frnakly IDGAF. What's with all the freakin' post nazi's around here? If you think it's a dupe then move along and don't respond and keep to your precious "original threads". Jesus H. Christ! You gotta go through a freaking commitee around here to make a simple post!

If prepaid killings based on enforcing gun laws is as far as some of you can see, you have to open your eyes.

We are in an economic depression. People are losing jobs everyday. And for some people it is a tough thing to handle. For all we know this murderer got laid off and decided he's had enough foreigners coming here to take his job away and went there to satisfy himself due to his layoff and end his life.

                            .

It's now being reported that the shooter did in fact lose his job with IBM. Perhaps it is exactly as you describe.

Mayor Matthew Ryan initially said the gunman had a high-powered rifle but law-enforcement sources later told NBC that he had actually used two handguns.
