I like the Gen5. They made some good changes. The triggers are the best they have ever been. Still not great but not bad either.

I bought both my G17.5 and G26.5 were under $800, if I can get a 19X, 19.5 MOS or G45 under $1k I'll probably get them as well. I just want the 3 for my CCW and one for my HD gun with a $urefire, beyond that probably just a duplicate 19.5

Just saw one for the 1st time and it looks really cool.
It's just the newest generation of i-Phone in a different color. (Glock 45 = Glock 19X with Gen5 improvements, in black instead of FDE)

Now the 9x19mm Glock 46 is something that brings something different (for Glock) to the plate.
^It has a rotating barrel system.

Well the Minuteman III still sits in our silos and still kicks @$$ and without any serious changes. We know they will go BANG in a big way, so why change them?

Same goes for Glocks. They just work. Why change a proven design? The basic 1911 has remained the same since... 1911. Why change a good thing? Get used to Glock never really seriously changing any major design features nor components.

Glock 22, chambered in 40. Glock 40, chambered in 10mm. Glock 45, chambered in 9mm. Coming in the year 2167, the Glock 357, chambered in 44mag.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

So does that apply to all other guns? Because if that was the truth, there would never be any new guns.

Meh. If Lowe's puts new features on their garden shovel or Costco puts their salad dressing in a new bottle, do you all rush out and buy them?

My garden shovel is 15+ years old and works as new. I buy new salad dreassing when I run out.

Looks just like the older Glocks. What's the advantage of the latest gen?

Something about "improved" internal parts. I dunno. I'm perfectly happy with my Gen3's.

Not into myself. Wish Glock would have drop the 46 to the US Market vs the 45. rumors mill is Glock will drop the Glock 46 at the NRA 2019 show. They had been a demand from law-enforcement and military on testing the Glock 46

So a G45 is a G19 frame with a longer barrel and slide basically?

The G45 & 19X were aimed at very specific markets; those that carry a sidearm in cramped quarters/vehicles. Retaining capacity while decreasing 'footprint' in a holster or chest rig is the reason these models exist.
