Maglock or Featureless AR?

If you want the features back, this option is a good one:

People who want to use their semi illegal and very evil "assault weapon" in California for legal self defense choose featureless. If you're lucky enough to acquired yours before long guns required registration I guess it doesn't matter. If it was registered as a long gun and has not been registered as an assault weapon, I'd probably go featureless or completely disassembled.Comment

Great! Thank you. I heard that double feeds were going to be hard to fix with a maglock but ive seen that they improved the Gen2. I dont shoot my AR all the time so thats why i would not mind having a maglock.Maybe this will help you decide

Yeah I hear you. Gen 2 AR Maglock was designed to be able to clear double feeds and although it is paired best with the Kingpin you can even clear it with a standard takedown pin.
The point of any system you use is to practice it until it becomes second nature.
Everyone has their own preference but even people that run featureless or run a RAW dont even know how to properly clear a double feed.
If you're a bench shooter just save the money and get the cheapest maglock you can get because speed isn't your priority.
But if you run and gun then either featureless or a fast maglock system is definitely a good option.MESSAGE ME FOR ARMAGLOCK COUPON CODES!!!!

Thank you. Im a bench shooter and rarely run a gun. That is why i have been thinking about the maglock. Speed is not an issue since i do not do competition. I have the sharkfin wrap with a thumb grip and is comfortable but I am also building a MK12 Mod1 and want it to looks as similar as possible.Yeah I hear you. Featureless is the only way to go, thank god we still have that option for now. Enjoy it while it lasts.
I tried the AR maglock gen2 and thought it was an absolute waste of money. Totally pointless IMO. I hated it.
Once you get used to the standard mag release on a featureless AR, theres no turning back. Its like a revelation. There are so many good featureless options out now, theres really no excuse at all to handicap yourself with a silly maglock.

Using a maglock is premature anyway. There will be plenty of time for that nonsense if and when featureless gets banned. All semiautos will probably be in the next ban so that would include fixed mag as well. Again, there is really no good reason to fool around with maglocks on an AR when featureless is still legal. Its simply a no brainer, featureless is the only option right now.Last edited by Tere_Hanges; 10-05-2018, 9:12 AM.CRPA and NRA member.
Note that those who have repeatedly expressed enough vile and incoherent content as to render your views irrelevant, have been placed on my ignore list. Thank you for helping me improve my experience and direct my attention towards those who are worthy of it. God bless your toxic little souls.Comment

I understand where you are coming from. I dont plan on making every AR i own to use a maglock. I would like to try it to see how it feels for me. I appreciate your opinion because i know if I use two methods, its more training for me. I hope i get out of this state before they ban everything and anything.Comment

Also has anyone seen the concept from Bear flag defense called the Featurelock? Cool concept but i have not heard of an update from them. They were suppposed to start production over the summer according to them.Comment
