Market place deal pulled HUH?

I won't name names, but I recieved Payment info email at 9:51 mon night. I think I was wrapping up my day at that time and I never saw it. On my way home tues at 5:18, I get a "Deal retracted due to lack of response" text.
Is it me or is this a little unreasonable???
So I offered to send payment when I got home but the seller said he had someone else lined up.

Giving someone LESS than 24 hours to pay is a bit more than unreasonable regardless of your post count or having a 0 feedback score (because you have never bought/sold before).

What did the seller expect you to do, check your email every two minutes to see if they had sent their payment information?

Back when I was working I rarely checked my email before going to work. I usually didn't have the time what with showering, shaving, etc.

Welcome to 2018, if your emails are not going to your phone in real time, its time to trade in the Model T. Flakey buyers are the worst.

Less than 24 hours isn't reasonable by any stretch of the imagination.

That said...OP, sometimes you'll lose out on deals like this. It happens, and isn't worth the emotional investment to get upset over. Remember that you're getting a good deal for a reason; often it it's because the seller *needs* the money, and quickly. Just say "damn it, another one got away" and go about your business.
