The idea that an armed populace can resist a tyrannical government probably sounds like a pretty dangerous idea to a government concerned about being viewed as tyrannical. Or considering becoming a little more tyrannical. This is not an idea that is popular in Sacramento and not popular I'm sure in many other parts of the world...makes sense for antis here to reach out to other countries, no real opposing view and a good way to gain leverage in Washington and position California as the home of cultural leadership and legitimate challenger to Washington's political leadership. Pretty f***king smart if you ask me. I think that within the next decade conservatism will become the new communism and McCarthyism will rear it's ugly head again...probably lead by our own Kamala Harris. When the notion that Bill of Rights is a "blueprint for repression/sexism/racism/misogyny/whatever" and the constitution an irrelevant document written for a different century become commonplace and there is a widespread perception that this is accepted as fact, the real fun will begin!
