For the ability they have in making decent optics, China can probably put out a decent product. Look at Holosun, not bad at all. But this ACOG knock off is designed to compete for the low end market, so they must have compromised on something.
Would love to read how it fares, tradecraft. On what gun are you planning to use it?
I also bought a $50 UTG magnifier off Amazon. Maybe a knock off of a knock offsigpic

It does at least look legit and it's being sold by aokcenter.com...some kind of pawn shop deal. Maybe just maybe they did not do their homework on the item and were unable to verify if its genuine? I once saw a pawnshop on ebay sell a rare automatic chronograph Seiko watch for $175(i was bidding and got outbid). The retail price was $750 and they sold for around $600 used on ebay. They did not know what they had and that watch went quick. Stuff like this happens on ebay from time to time. We shall see.Comment

No it doesn't, not if you have been around real ACOGs for any length of time or used one its clear that it is fake; maybe if you have never used or handled one it looks legit. Mount is off/doesn't look right, knobs on mount are off/don't look right, no raised/embossed aluminum near bottom of optic stating "4X32, Made In USA, etc", no raised/embossed lettering on the other side "Trijicon ACOG", the lettering/font is wrong, no rubber coating, the rear eyepiece doesn't have the normal little raised portion around it (a "lip" for lack of better term), rear sight looks fake, body looks like pot-metal, knobs are wrong, even just looking at the front glass its clear its fake.
I've owned 9 ACOGs at one point or another and used many more than that
Sometimes you do get lucky, my best score was a 8 year old TA31F in minty shape with killflash/NV filter/Larue mount with box and all for $463Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraftComment

I know nothing of ACOGs.
Question: To someone whose life does not depend on having a REAL one, would it really matter if you got a fake?
Where do the fake ones (lets say a "decent quality" fake one) fall short?
For funsies at the range or even home defense (where you are maybe all of 20 feet max from some dude in your house) about all I'd need would be that I can see through it with a visible reticle when I needed it.
Like I said, don't know much about them other than that they are roughly cylindrical and you keep both eyes open when using them.Comment
