Just got a first hand report from one of our club member. Coming back from Pyramid Range north of Reno, member was stopped at Ag inspection station on I-80. First asked about fruit and vegetables, then turned over to CHP who asked about guns and ammo. Driver stated it was in a locked box in back of truck and allowed to proceed.

SO all they did was ask and then he was allowed to go. Did they actually look at all?
Does that mean they aren't really checking?Emotional appeal is a marketing tactic and not a foundation for effective argument.

wonder if he was seen coming out of a shooting range and reported.
wonder if that anti-gun professor is back sending his interns out again for grant money.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... I understand the guns being locked part of it. But did he confirm he had ammo too?Just got a first hand report from one of our club member. You know, he really didn't have to answer the question.Comment

While not at an AG station I also encountered odd behavior. I am an FFL03 and COE holder and have ordered ammo a few times without incident.
This last weekend when a delivery was supposed to occur, it did not, and tracking the package showed it was on the truck for delivery and pulled off. Deliverly was rescheduled 4 days later. Upon calling the shipping company, I could not get them to tell me who requested the rescheduling or why.
I'm not a conspiracy nut, but at this point, who knows if the shippers aren't flagging ammo packages and DOJ is running checks on recipients, too.Comment

Drove thru the ag check point on 395 a few months ago, held up a tangerine and said that's all I got, passed with no further questions.Comment

Not answering the question = having angry cops trying their best to get you for anything.
If you answer their questions, you'll be on your way.
Just seen a video of some teacher at a BP checkpoint who refused to answer if she was a citizen. She was there for an hour. Had she said "Yes, I am" she would've just gone through.sigpicComment

Well I heard from a friend of mine who knows a guy named Bob and he said that Bob told him that his friend Jim heard from another guy at the gun shop that a dude named Jose was checked for ammo at the Primm border inspection station. He claims that they used an x-ray machine on his van, and found he had a box of .22's under his seat. He was taken from his van at gun point and his .22's confiscated. Sounds legit, except for the gun store part.
