It's really stupid how anyone would take a chance on their life doing that crap.

Oh and yes there were 2 men. Black men. Could've been mexican,white,asian,eskimo,polynesian,samoan,middl e eastern,etc etc... but they were not. This is a tactic a lot of burglers use... Also people will randomly knock on a lot of peoples doors at all different times of the day to see when people are home to figure out their schedule. And if u answer the door they will just ask some dumb question or ask for fake directions or something...

Agreed and this is also how many home invasions are done.
I myself never answer the door when people knock or ring the bell. The only time I ever answer the door is when it is someone i know.

Around my neighborhood, which is in a very quiet, safe area, we get a lot of people who are obviously not from the area dropping off flyers and putting business cards on doors for small businesses like house cleaning, etc.

Since I work at home, I get to see what happens in the day when most people are not home.

Almost everytime a card is left on the door or flyer rolled up and left on the door handle, the person leaving it either tries the door handle (jiggles it) or rings the bell. Considering the fact that they don't stick around after they try this, I can ony surmise that this was an attempt to see if they an get inside. Usually the barking Golden Retreiver sends them away. fast. One day, someone may discover I "accidently" left it unlocked and will get the shock of their lives!

I don't know man we have a big *** golden retriever. I scared him on accident this weekend, I have never seen something move so fast and have never heard him bark like that. It was a good thing he ran away from me cause I would have been changing my shorts if he came at me.

It all depends on who is normally in the neighborhood. We have a multi-cultural mix where I live, but we keep watch out for strangers. If someone shows up who looks out of place, no matter who or what race they are, they definitely get extra scrutiny.

Not knowing the race of the OP I still may infer that he is not Black himself. If he is not Black but of another race he may not have occasion to associate intimately with members of the Black community. Also, if the ethnic mix of his neighborhood is such that Black people rolling up into his driveway is a rare event then by all means he should be wary if such an event takes place. I live in an area where there is a high density of Black people but I don't know many of them and would be suspicious of anyone I don't know coming into my driveway, Black, White or Green.
