There was a number I was trying to keep it at for awhile. Did ok for a couple years, by buying some, and selling some. I've since stopped trying to keep it at that number. Last time I looked at my spreadsheet, I finally realized just how far past that number I've gone. BTW OP, the vast majority I've never shot.

some people are content with only owning a hammer, some screwdrivers, and a set of wrenches. I prefer to have multiples in case a hammer doesn't do the job as well as another, sets of screwdrivers for working on fine screws for various little things as well as large overbuilt things, and several sets of wrenches, in standard and metric, as well as different sockets in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2".
Sometimes, I see a very specific tool that only does one job, but it does it very damn well, so why not? When you need it and don't have it, you sure as hell wish you DID have it.
... and sometimes, you go to Harbor Freight, see a cheap piece of crap tool that you think would serve a purpose, use it once or twice, break it, and either buy another from there because you're insane, or go to a good store and buy a quality tool like you should have in the first place, further reinforcing the "buy once, cry once" mentality, lol

Yep, I got there too. You get a Keeping Up With The Jones' feeling when you read about these guys with a hoard of guns and makes you feel like you gotta buy a bunch too. I barely shoot any more so I pared down the collection to like 1 bolt gun, 1 ar, 1 shotgun, 1 handgunComment

Im very hesitant to buy more with the CA handgun Roster, and very limited choices and availability on both handguns & rifles
not much Curio & Relic available these days, gun shows / gun shops use to be full of C&R
Not interested in post ban CA compliant grip fin style rifles
the main thing stopping me from buying is there isnt anything left worth buying, Im mostly interested in handguns.
plus the new ammo background check thats coming soon.Comment

The only limitation I have is space and finances. I have zero shame is having a gun I don’t shoot - at some point some relatives will get to shoot it.Originally posted by ysr_racerPlease don't bring logic and reason into an interwebs discussion

Are you sure? You definitely have to try the Sig P210A Target. I personally think it feels the best in my hand, has the best balance, shoots so accurately, recoil is super soft and the fit and finish is amazing. Only negative is the 8 round capacity mag.Comment
