I don't store more than one mag per gun in my safe. All the extras are kept in storage boxes.

I'm currently using a plastic storage bin like what you get at Home Depot or Target. I take a bunch of the same mags and toss them into a clear ziplock bag and label the outside, then toss them in the storage bin.

But these clear plastic shoe storage hangers can be used to store a lot of things. You can hang them off the back of the door or perhaps the side of the safe.

I use this drawer from Ikea for magazine and extra parts.
Theres no sliders on the drawers, so ammo is too heavy for it.

AR mags & HK91 mags I keep in 40mm cans. Plural.

I put extra mags in ziploc freezer bags and label them so I remember what they are and what they fit. I keep them in ammo cans sorted by caliber.
