That all the gun store employees always feel the need to fondle a gun brought in for a PPT? Everytime I buy/sell a firearm at any gun store I've been to that the other employees gotta walk over and finger f**k it? Not to mention its flaws or what they don't like about it? It just pisses me off.

Turner’s by chance? -
Maybe it's a superiority thing. Since they work in the industry (though not really, they're just a customer service clerk), they think watch how I can expertly analyze this piece in front of my customer. Or maybe they're just genuinely curious and want to learn more about a firearm they haven't handled before. Everybody has their own motivation I guess.

Interesting stuff comes in on PPTs, they’re “gun guys” who are curious.
Doesn’t bother me
A lot of guys here would allow another Calgunner to SHOOT their firearm at the range....how’s that any better?
It’s a fuggin’ gun....not a Faberge egg....it can handle fingerprints.

Could be worse. I've seen dealers take $20000+ machine guns out to play with during the 8 month wait for a tax stamp.sigpic

I've been on the buying or selling end of PPTs probably 7 times and never once have the employees handled any of those guns in a manner that would bother me.
Turners, Riflegear, Gunfighter Tactical....
They've verified unloaded and clear upon entry into the store (their policy and right), then handled no more than needed to observe the engraved information and pack it up for storage in the safe.- Rich

As long as they don't damage it, who cares?sigpic

Problem is, occasionally they DO damage firearms they have no business handling. Every time they remove it from a safe, uncase it, and hand it to someone else they run the risk of dropping, scratching on a countertop or other hard surface, or simply banging a nice stock up against something, resulting in cosmetic damage, that in some cases can't be easily fixed. It's not their property. Just another problem with our needless California laws.Comment
