Done with Cheaper than Dirt!

Tried to order some AR parts through them the other day, was informed they would not ship to my zip code. These parts are perfectly legal to purchase, possess, and otherwise own. Inquired as to why via their live chat, and to paraphrase I was informed because of political and legal issues in the state of California, and until things get better, they as a business will not sell certain items to customers in California. Hmm, legal to possess, purchase, own, not otherwise restricted.... So after some research, I found a score of parts, products and such legal to buy at any local Gun Show or retailer in my General location. (Sacramento County Zip Code 95842) Then I contacted the manufactures as best I could and without an exception they all could and would ship to me. We are talking simple things here, Cerakote Spray, Rifle Stocks, Lower Receiver parts etc. For a Company that makes it's profits selling firearms related products and supposedly supports the 2nd Ammendment, they would shut out an entire share of the market based on fear of polictical and phantom legal issues. I would call that being a 2a Coward, and I did... Thanks for the rant

More like saying "I shop FOR Dick's".

CTD was great when they first opened, tons of guns on the walls, great prices especially for real mil surplus stuff. I usually stopped by a few times a month. Change in ownership lost of experienced employees, Chinese crap imitation gear started to replace good stuff, prices went up. Their rep in Texas is in the suck category.

I haven’t ordered from them since 1998. Absolutely no need to order ANYTHING from them regardless of price. If it was before 1998 I would use them.

LOL oh man this made my morning. I remember dropping them over 10 years ago. Best part is since then, there have been hundreds of better companies that have popped up and ship to CA. Good luck OP.
