Tavor X95 would be tough to beat as a battle rifle. Ideal in/around vehicles and close quarters stuff while retaining the 16" barrel to make hits at 600yds. Smaller form factor than most AR sbr's.

Would you rather have a semi and trailer or a trials bike? Obviously, there's no way to know unless you know what the parameters are. The OP's question is no different.

If I could choose any guns:

          - Inside the home, subgun and I would choose the RD9. I dig this thing very much, takes Glock mags, side charging, 9mm.
          - Outside the home, a Noveske Infidel carbine (this is my favorite rifle that isn't considered an SBR)

I'd prefer both with an Aimpoint T5 Micro.

To be honest though, I wouldn't hesitate to use a rifle indoors if I really needed to though.

I want a 300blk with an 8.3" barrel. Can do it all. No real reason for a subgun unless you're clearing houses and a short 300blk does it better than a 9mm.

If it's a shtf scenario then I'll take a 14.5" light weight ar with an aimpoint sight.

A 600 meter rifle can shoot targets at 100 meters better than the other way around.

Reality wise, I can't legally carry anything that is not linked to my CCW and I can't legally drop a bad guy outside of my home....9mm. If he's wearing armor well then I'll have to make my case in court for popping him or her in the forehead. I shoot to "stop" if I feel that my family or my life is in "imminent" danger. I'll let my lawyer answer any and all questions and hope my SD insurance can cover all legal costs

If you are talking a real world SHTF situation, I would think something in an intermediate cartridge along with select fire capabilities would be ideal for any situation you might encounter...

Good luck finding one of those. I've always wanted one ever since reading John Ross's Unintended Consequences years ago. The MP5&dimes as they're known in certain circles. I think the FBI is the only agency in the country that has ever had any inventory of them.

Truth be told however, subguns are nonsense in my opinion.

A DDM4V7 SLW sits by my bed every night. Always on, always ready.
