    Subgun VS Rifle

Would you rather Subgun, or Rifle? If this had to be a primary setup are you picking up the that

    <insert subgun here> or the <insert rifle here>

The rules are no rules, anything can be included. Sbr, optics, auto, masterkey etc

It depends upon the distance you need.

          I’ll take a 16inch rifle with a binary trigger a 1-6 optic and a light. 556,762x39 or 308 would be fine.

Only subgun I'd ever be interested in is a real one (full auto or select fire). An MP5 SD variant of some kind would be nice.

+1 for depends on circumstances. Inside my home, subgun all day. Outside or distance, rifle.

Not just range, but power is a huge factor in why no one uses pistol caliber long guns for serious work any more. 5.56 weighs the same as 9mm. No reason to use a firearm that the ammo weighs as much as a round that has an effective range of 500 yards and a lot more power.

For me its not so much a power issue as it is an issue of trying to get around tight corners with a 16 inch barrel sticking out in front of you.

Umm... so all the guys saying MP5 or some other 9mm what happens when your adversary is wearing armor? Heck even level II soft armor will stop 9mm not to mention level III or IV plates.

                              Personally I'd go for a SBR in 5.56 like the Sig MCX with Surefire 60rd mag, 1st choice. 2nd P90. 3rd MP7.

On second thought since you said no rules, I'd go for a Knights LAMG.
