Most crimping tools have a place to cut machine screws. You thread it in to the correct length, cut, then when you back the screw out, it cleans the threads.

that was a definite option for me lol, used to pick stuff up there all the time for customers in my NAPA days. Used to get items transferred from NAPA that used to be next door too.
