Never fired a G18 but I have fired the Beretta 93R. Its select fire 1 rd and 3 rd burst. It has a vertical foregrip to help you maintain control with muzzle rise. Fun novelty thanks to Italian LE for letting me try their wares and I get the feeling its possibly the same for the G18 if I could get hands on rental.

      I've shot a Glock 7 before.

Open up a business with all the required permits.
Pay $150 for type 7 FFL and get approved
Pay $500 for type 2 manufacturer SOT
          Pay $2250 for ITAR

Once you have all the legal paperwork done go online and buy an 80% kit, engrave it, complete it, submit a form 2 to atf before the end of business day.

Bedside gun depends on how your FFL is created and state/local laws. I can have machine guns anywhere I want since I am the licensee and there are no restrictions on storage in AZ. ATF has some restrictions about access but it is very easy to comply. Out here it is just about locking your doors and windows and not letting anyone unauthorized have unsupervised access. I use something else for a bedside gun.

Glock brought one to their Rangemaster class conducted at my department when we transitioned to Glocks. Everyone attending lined up and we shot it in turn. I did not find it impossible to control, although it took effort and concentration to keep rounds on a B27 at somewhere around 7-10 yards IIRC.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

So you couldnt just turn a G17 full auto, you would have to use an 80% frame?
And youre saying you need to make a brick and mortar gun shop?
Can't just basically make a home based ffl to only use for manufacturing one FA Glock?

Not an 80% frame. An 80% sear. They are about $150 online. Or you could make a sear yourself. It is not that difficult. The sear will work in any Glock but the way Glocks are made each sear has to almost be made to fit the intended Glock. It is not just a drop in part like AR and HK sears.

No need for a B&M shop but not all localities allow manufacturing in a home based business.

I saw a gal from the Glock shooting team demonstrate one on TV a while back. She handled it very well and kept the bursts mostly on target.

I imagine it would take a fair bit of practice to gain reasonable proficiency with the G18, but it can be done.

Your going to want a stock. F/A without a stock = bad time.

My buddy says his agency has one in the gun library. He said it is a true ghost gun, even Glock has no record of it.

My police science teacher in high school brought a full auto browning HP from the evidense locker. It was fun to shoot. It had a small folding grip screwed to the front of the frame. First two shots went in one hole and the third was off the target.

Yes but anyone in a NFA state can make their own suppressors, sbrs, sbs, aows as long as they pay the tax and submit the paperwork for approval. I can make anything but destructive devices and explosives.

I have some really crude homemade suppressors in my safe right now made from home depot and autozone parts. They work great but they are very heavy.
