The article title implies it is about scary sniper rifles, but the article itself is really not.
Well, in that case, I apologize Sir. Especially for the bit of sarcasm at the end of my post.

Awesome reporting, Mother Jones. The sniper rifle they are so worried about is the ORSIS T-5000:

It's a bolt action rifle available in 308, 300 WinMag and 338 Lapua. Awesome. Like nothing like that has ever been available to civilians before. Oh wait, just about every bolt action rifle sold is pretty much like that and other than some style points this is no different from all the other bolt action rifles sold over the last 100+ years. Remington has sold millions of 700s which functionally the same as this.

In fact it's a lot like the Rem Model 700 Tactical Chassis which is also available in the same three caliber choices.

You got that backwards. 20:1 abortions to gun deaths.

roughly 33K gun deaths per year on average (including justifiable)

660K abortions per year on the absolute low end (average much higher)

You are correct. I unintentionally flipped the ratio.

I don't see any current litigation or political (legislation), state or national, advocating going after "sniper rifle"/scoped bolt guns in this thread.

I suggest Moderators move this to General Gun Discussion, or even Off Topic.

That MotherJones/Vice (progressive liberal "news" agencies) article is their way of connecting the NRA to the Russians, to show how the Russians control the NRA and rigged the past POTUS election.

I like how it's "purpose-built". Its like my perfectly sculpted buttocks were purpose built to draw attention from the ladies, which promotes rape culture and how dare i make them feel those feelings
