Do you still have your first gun?

Do you still have your first gun?

    I don't ...

Mine was a Colt King Cobra I bought in San Diego while in the military...

And I regret not still having it...as it was a great revolver, visually very appealing, and had a certain nostalgic value.

Yes I do, a Winchester 1200 shotgun. It's about to enter it's 10th year of duck hunting with me. I fell bad for it , I need to buy a new duck gun, and stip the Winchester down and refinsh it. I'm gonna make it a up;and bird gun.

You bet. A bolt action 22LR winchester with 5 round detachable magazine. Model 66 maybe? I forget the model.
        Please, calm down.

Yep, Nylon 66 purchased right after I turned 18. Unfortunately, I do not have the first (new) handgun I purchased the day I turned 21, a Colt Trooper Mk III in 22LR.

The first gun I ever had was a Ruger .22 rifle (can't remember exact model may have been an early 10/22) my grandfather got for me. For obvious reasons my grandfather kept it in his safe when I wasn't using it. After I moved to California the Ruger stayed in Michigan where it eventually was sold off by my grandmother at an estate sale when my grandfather passed away (she was anti-gun and kept quiet about it until the old man left stage right).

Yep still got my Red Ryder and my first 22. My kid shoots the Red Ryder every now and then, but he likes the bigger stuff better.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Chinese SKS...bought it at Martin B Retting when I turned 18...still have it...I would have never guessed then how many guns I would have by the time I was 25 (I would have been pleasantly shocked).

Yep, a Remington Nylon 12 bolt action .22 with a tube magazine. Got it in 1963 (I was 12) for 20 bucks from my next door neighbor. Paid him the 20, took it home.....the good ol' days.

Last time I shot it a few years ago, it was still a good little shooter.
