Appendix carry is dangerous. To say the least. You do not muzzle sweep other people, why would you put/carry your gun where it is aiming directly at your own family jewels?

It is kind of like the Mexican holster (read lack of holster). Either way, the muzzle is pointing at your body and a holster won't protect your privates from a boollet.

Other Inside waist band holsters have the same concern.

I’m waaaay more worried about a round to the femoral artery than blowing my dick off. I used to appendix carry and I like it a lot, but have switched my carry and training to 5 o’clock iwb. If HK ever makes a hammer fired single stack polymer subcompact, I will revisit it. For now with a no thumb safety, striker fired SD weapon, (g43) I’m gonna risk my azz instead of my femoral. I just did ground fighting training where we drew and fought from concealment while in the guard or knee shielding and 5 o’clock was working fine for me. I’m not against appendix at all, but I’ve just decided I don’t like a hot muzzle pointed right at a giant blood pipe in my body.

Shoot yourself in the behind and you could very well strike the popliteal artery, if the bullet travels down your leg. And bullets can do all sorts of things inside the body, like the video pointed out. Point being, the leg has a bunch of vasculature, not just the femoral can kill you.
