    LAX Ammo OC

    LAX Ammo OC
    16732 Beach Blvd, Suite B
    Huntington Beach, CA 92647

    10 STARS AND HERE'S WHY:

It pays to Listen, Read, Communicate and Get-Your-Facts-Straight: I've been a customer of LAX Ammo OC since they opened their retail shop. I have NOT been paid to write this, I am NOT in the advertising business.

I AM: a frustrated, law abiding, responsible California gun owner who is tired of the political and "ammo price games" because of the artificial and real concerns created over our abriged, falsely politicized and slowly disolving 2nd Amendment rights from this- OUR biased, unfair and non-law abiding California state legislature.

FACT: LAX Ammo's WEBSITE clearly says their pricing is not the same as LAX Ammo RETAIL shops.

FACT: LAX Ammo and their retail shop in Orange County are about one thing:

"LAX Ammo Orange County maintains the same quality and customer service standards established by LAX Ammo Los Angeles and is dedicated to providing Californians with a means to obtain bulk ammunition without breaking the bank."

FACT: LAX Ammo OC (and other LAX Ammo retail shops) have overhead to cover, that LAX Ammo's online site does NOT have (store rent, utilities, employee wages, etc.)

FACT: No one here on this website or anywhere else is telling anyone to drive 1, 100 or 1000 miles to LAX Ammo. Or saying if you don't buy your ammo from LAX you're making a mistake. If it works for you- great. If it doesn't, quit your whining and spreading false info. Just be informed!!

Here's my recent review of LAX Ammo OC:

LOWEST PRICES & LARGEST SELECTION OF AMMO IN ORANGE COUNTY, CA & SURROUNDING AREAS - PERIOD!

    ***NO PRICING B.S.
    ***QUALITY - SELECTION AND
    PROFESSIONAL - FRIENDLY - GENUINE.
    Your One Stop Shop For...
    ALL - Your - Ammo - Needs.

IF... You're tired of "playing" the exhaustive web surfing game of endless time-searching for the best price of your favorite ammo, or trying to find a California RETAIL location to purchase or special order your particular choice of ammo, reloading & cleaning supplies, and even tactical gear AND GET A FAIR PRICE OR THE CHEAPEST IN THE REGION... LAX Ammo OC in Huntington Beach, CA is your Best and Only choice.

With all the negative statewide and national hype we responsible gun and/or rifle owners are facing these days, ammo prices and accessories are not as cheap or available as they used to be. Retail shops where we used to go- because we could count on their broad selection and fair pricing- are slowly disappearing, or forcing us to choose from a small selection- not of Our Choice- and we're left with jacked up prices and crap we DON'T WANT OR NEED- just so the Typical Retailer can make money!

THEY'RE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF US by using the current negative, political climate against us because the retailers and large distributors have "a captive audience". Us! They know we're not gonna stop buying ammo.

Here in "OC" where the cost of living is high compared to most of the country, we have an anomaly: an ammo store with a huge selection of ammo and gear AND GREAT, CHEAP prices! LAX Ammo OC. The BIG little shop that DOES! No overhead B.S. Just great selection, quality & cheap prices! Definitely NOT your typical retailer. More like a retail wholesaler.

Calder & Christie, the store owners, are just like us: avid, responsible & knowledgeable enthusiasts, and consumers. They like what they do and want a good deal. They buy in bulk and pass the volume savings on to us. Simple. No bull, no games. Just quality, product, selection, convenience AND SATISFACTION- GREAT PRICES!! No Buyer's remorse.

They're very patient and dedicated to keeping up on their craft and educating their client base. Did I mention the HUGE selection of ammo? They have what you need- always. You're in and out in a few minutes or less if you know what you want. And the staff doesn't rush or pester you!!

Calder & Christie's high standards of customer service, product knowledge, patience and professionalism are reflected in their friendly & sincere staff:

From Rob, the store manager, to specialists like Keith- every employee makes you feel like you're important; with the questions they ask and time they invest in you... to make sure you get what you came to purchase, what YOU NEED, and you walk out satisfied with the intent of returning as a long term customer. Just common sense and courtesy.

Questions? Ask. I'm at the stage where shooting .45 ACP 230 grain isn't working for me anymore. I've been shooting for over 35 years. I shoot .45 & .357. I called the shop, Rob answered all my questions, educated me, was friendly and patient. I came down to the shop and after diagnosing my needs Rob successfully got me into .45 ACP 185 grain +P. My shot placement is back, I'm not dealing with annoying recoil issues and I'm back to having fun at the range. Thank you Rob.

AND with LAX Ammo OC I'm buying ammo I really Want and Need versus the Retailer "pushing" it on me because that's all they choose to have for sale- just so the Typical Retailer can make money off me.

LAX's specialist, Keith, introduced me to an additional ammo brand just as reliable and fairly priced as what Rob showed me. And I'm thinking about reloading- Keith has offered to assist me with the knowledge to get started when I'm ready. I like that. Thanks bro.

As an avid shooter I'm in the shop often to re-up for the range. I shoot weekly, if not multiple times a week. This place is constantly busy with new and repeat customers. I never hear complaints just "thank you's" from the employees and customers.

The staff goes out of their way to service you and be your source for all your ammo and related needs; including following up to see how your present choice of ammo is working out for you?

LAX AMMO OC: A smart choice. A no brainer. Thanks guys. It's nice not to get ripped off and be dictated to, anymore. Even better- also having CHOICES, SAVING $$$, paying a fair price, and Getting What I Want and Need to protect myself and my family! 10 Stars, 10 Happy Faces, 10 Thumbs Up - satisfied, repeat, long term customer!

    P.S. Hi Yvette!

They do have to cover overhead. That's for sure.
Why not list the In-Store price along side the Internet price in the product listing?
Here's my iTrader feedback: (iTrader score is 244. I have ZERO negative feedback) https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...user-l-a-saiga

Now there is 4 tiers of pricing it seems! In store, gun show, internet, and they don't honor some prices at OC location it seems that are at the Inglewood one! No thanks, too Byzantine.

          Well said FAIRMINDED!

I just bought 2 cases of 20 gauge from OC-LAX
Almost $2 a box cheaper than another gun store close to them.
(And I refuse to go to Dick's)

I suspect 2 of the members here posting in this thread are employees or owners of LAX. Limited posting history and only ever posting to shill for LAX. One just joined this month.

The average member isn't going to join and just post 1-2 long winded gushing posts for a business.

I suspect you may be correct, sir.

I didn't have any problems with LAX. Only been once and just needed to pick up some 10mm after a new purchase. Hadn't checked their online price but figured they were one of the better bets to find 10mm on short notice. I was somewhat surprised how little ammo selection they had overall, maybe they just finished a big sale or something. Many out of stock items.

Online prices were great when I was able to use them. Now I only buy in store and have never been disappointed. Prices are good and I don't have to wait for some teenager to track down a manager- just to grab a box of ammo. (Walmart) blows.
Been shopping lax for years and was stoked when they opened the oc store.

My one & only LAX Ammo experience.

Several months ago I called the San Diego store. A guy answered & said he had allot of customers in front of him and didn't have time to talk to me.

He asked me if I could call back. I said,"no thanks" and hung up.

I am not affiliated with them at all and I love that place. It sounds like the only beef people have is that they don't honor website prices. I can see how that could be annoying for people who live far away, but in the grand scheme of things is it really that big of deal? They are just trying to provide tbe best prices they can with thr associated costs of each venue. Just pretend they don't have a website, you can't order online now anyway. Their selection is awesome and their prices beat most places anyway, so why all the hate? There are not really any good options for getting ammo in the area, we should be supporting companies like this not hating on them for small things like that.

In fairness I don't like when stores prioritize people that call in over when I'm right there in their face trying to give them money. I made the effort to come down to shop the guy on phone didn't. If they do get high call volume though they should have a secretary or someone dedicated to that.

I don't know it is hate but I'm not interested in bait and switch and 4 tiers of pricing and games. There is other options even with the new laws. Or at least have more transparency especially on the website maybe showing the difference in price tiers depending how you want to buy the ammo.

Yeah I agree it would be nice if they showed their in store prices on their website too, or just have the store prices be generally a fixed percentage more. But I don't really see it as games being played. If their prices were really expensive that would be one thing, but their in store prices are still really competitve so I feel it is legitimate.

I think it's ridiculous they keep it a secret by not saying over the phone, especially for some of us who would have to drive 100 miles just to see what their asking price is. Their in store prices are 25% higher than what you see online. What a joke. Don't waste your time.

I drove down from Ventura County, for their "Parking lot sale". I got there 45 minutes early, and the line was 1/2 mile long to get in.

Its took me about 1 hour, to buy 500 rounds of .40 caliber. After I paid sales tax + price of bullets, I saved $5 from buying local in Ventura County + 1/2 tank of gas to drive down to Inglewood.

                                Never do that again ! ! ! ! !

Remember, if you purchase online, you'll pay shipping along with sales tax + price of bullets, NO DEAL
