All sell ammo and most sell rifles... even AR's here...
      HOWEVER
Walmart's national policy now says need to be over 21 to buy it and need an ID to prove it...
Seems that Walmart policy trumps our state laws.....

Thanks - does anyone have a list of those 47 locations? Been searching for a bit, couldn't find it. TIA!

EDIT: Oh, is it this list?

I was shocked to see they have removed all their ammo. No ammo, no place for it on any shelves.
In fact, they put a selection of (stupid) knives in the former locked glass ammo cabinet.

Anyone know what's that all about? Why did they stop ammo sales there?
Are all the other Walmarts in CA doing this? Or just certain counties?

Man, I was ticked off. They were the absolute cheapest way to buy common ammo, such as 9mm and .223. Darn.

Paso Robles Walmart here is overflowing with ammo, even all the 22lr is bursting at the seams. Ive never seen the shelves so filled.

That's the way it is up here in MT every Wally World store sells ammo and guns but I have never been "carded" for ammo.

My Walmart in Bakersfield is still selling ammo. Shot gun shells are not locked up. Kern county is not heaven but its better then Los Angeles.

Did a Walmart tour, visiting a couple of stores. The one nearest me (Downey, CA) didn't have any, but an employee told me the one in Pico had ammo. And boy, did they. Pretty well stocked, and a few calibers on sale. Got a great deal (based on what I've seen) on .223, which I was beginning to despair about (my local Norwalk, CA Turner's is pretty depleted). For extra credit, this Walmart is next to the Lowes hardware store I visit once per month, so I'm thinking my home improvement/upkeep trips are about to get a little more expensive!

(Incidentally, these towns I mention are about 10-15 miles south-east of Downtown LA, and yes, in LA county. Which means my driver's license got checked and recorded.)

LA county does not have an ammo logbook law LA city does.

Westminster (Orange County) is good to go. I walked out with a box of ammo in hand for all the world to see since I forgot to bring a bag and forgot to ask before they rang me up.
