    Walmart & Ammo?

Went into the Walmart in Encinitas today, for first time in a few months.
I was shocked to see they have removed all their ammo. No ammo, no place for it on any shelves.
In fact, they put a selection of (stupid) knives in the former locked glass ammo cabinet.

Anyone know what's that all about? Why did they stop ammo sales there?
Are all the other Walmarts in CA doing this? Or just certain counties?

Man, I was ticked off. They were the absolute cheapest way to buy common ammo, such as 9mm and .223. Darn.

It is statewide. Many locations have consolidated to other stores. For weeks they had signs on those cases as to where the nearest Wally were still selling them.

They're probably consolidating ammo sales to the most popular stores for ammo purchases. I have noticed a lack of buckshot at the walmarts I've visited which is odd, but other than that the shelves are loaded.

El Cajon Walmart stopped selling ammo. Santee Walmart is still selling ammo though.

Not all. I just bought a bunch from the Glendora store. They were well stocked and the clerk was complaining about all the stupid laws.

Two Walmarts in my area, both sold ammo last year. Now, only one is selling.

Talked to the guy who seems to always work the ammo case at my local Walmart. He told me that the other Walmart in the area no longer sels ammo because they designated it as a store for the managers who couldn't pass the background checks to sell ammo. They usually have a good stock of 9mm and often .22lr.

Last night, I risked my life to once again to darken the doors of the Lodi Walmart. That place is a migrant camp for illegals but they did have their ammo case well stocked. More flavors of .22 cal LR than I have seen in any retail store in a long time...

Poway Walmart, usually has a good selection, also so does Discount Gun Mart in Santee plus their case prices are right in line with online vendors and there is no waiting.

Truth be told I'm staying away from LAX.

Shopped there twice online prices are not honored in the SD store, told the guy he said I'll give you 5% off said it would be on the receipt but I could not find the discount.

Second time the guy from LA was there and being a d*** and he said I'll take 10$ off I'm still looking for the 10$.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

There are only 47 Walmart that sell ammo in CA now. I lucky that 2 of them are less then 10 drive from my house
