    eBay Suppressors?

I was bouncing around on eBay look at stuff when I stumbled across a couple of products that left me wondering how the hell they're legal.

For example, look at this "muzzle brake". A decent number of the sellers also sell "Maglite D Cell adapters" (or "solvent traps")that are, for some reason, threaded in common rifle thread pitches and, often times, coupled with a "Maglite tube" and "dry storage cups". Many of the so called cups are clearly designed to be drilled out to common calibers.

    How is this legal?

Don't get me wrong, I think suppressors should be legal and easy to purchase, but these clearly appear to be NFA items sold on eBay.

Yup. Looks like what it takes to make a crappy diy suppressor. I mean . . . looks legit.

I think they are legal because in the configuration they sell them, you can't use them as a functional suppressor. I guess you can consider them the same as 80% lowers, so close to being functional but as they sit, they are just paperweights. Tax stamp is needed before you make any holes in any of those parts.

I think you can make your own supressor but have to get approval. Like how you can turn something into a SBR/S

Some guy is selling washers, metal tubes, and a few other nick nacks. What is wrong with that?

Any one wanting to make a funny device can buy the same things from many industrial suppliers.

Just because it can be done, does not mean one should do something illegal.

You can go buy a threaded rod that fits an oil filter at a parts store

Laws only apply to the law abiding
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

OP you sound just like a Libitard! It's an 80% item, who gives a funk. Move along don't make a deal out of nothing. Those are legal in free states.
