(I do think this is partly true as the M1A2 120mm sabot can probably do this so it is not TOTOAL fantasy so why is there not a 120mm ban?).

They can penetrate something like a meter of armor at two kilometers, so... even if it didn't go THROUGH, it'd probably pull the engine out and through the other fender into (using that word VERY loosly) whoever was hiding there.
