I heard they corrected this to

Stupid reporters use the provacative words even though they are meaningless when it comes to the facts because it is the flavor of the day that makes their bosses and editors happy since they think it sells more news papers or commercials.

RULE ONE IN GOOD AMERICAN JOURNALISM,
.........never let the facts or small details get in the way of a good juicy story. Touch the raw nerve of the consumers of your junk by harping the terrorist gun angle or 50 caliber-passenger jet crashing out of the sky angle, or gun show loop hole-could lead to murdering rampage of small children fo single moms at elementary school angle, or armour piercing bullet that goes through an engine block (I do think this is partly true as the M1A2 120mm sabot can probably do this so it is not TOTOAL fantasy so why is there not a 120mm ban?).
