Wow, sorry to hear that. Some people just suck.

Maybe your next kitten should be an indoor cat if there are idiots like that living near you.

Hey hey, we can’t let these laws be dictated by facts, no no, emotion works much better. Eff condors, time to go drop a bunch of dimes and quarters.

As always; facts and logic have nothing to do with it!

Well this is a surprise, actually no it's not. The whole argument about hunters leaving gut piles that contain led and therefore causing lead poisoning in condors is rubbish at best.

Considering that lead is not a naturally occuring heavy metal that can be heavier in some areas than others and humans never used lead as a base for paints and glues and let them set there to rot thus putting more of the fine "atomized" lead in the environment that can easily make its way into an animals or humans bloodstream giving enough exposure, it's clear that a hunters bullet caused this issue and it's clear that this has been a problem for quite some time.

It is a ploy to ban lead ammunition altogether in CA and then the country.

25 years ago we had an established range in Scotts Valley, and a bunch of new homes were built next to it. We warned the builders that the homeowners would be hearing gunfire from our adjacent shotgun range, and we notified the people considering buying there. They built and bought anyway. The range took noise abatement steps on the pistol and rifle ranges (installed long rows of truck tires we had to shoot through), but there wasn’t anything we could do about the shotgun range.

Predictably the homeowners complained, then threatened legal action, but they didn’t have a leg to stand on. They had been actively warned before buying the property, that the range was next door to them and had been there for decades, long before the builder broke ground.

So they filed a complaint with the EPA and the State, saying that the range was responsible for “lead contamination.” We fought it but eventually had to close the shotgun range.

The range administrators turned the shotgun range into an archery range, but I didn’t join the range to shoot bows and arrows, so I didn’t renew my membership. What a waste.

These people knew they were buying right next to an existing facility, but also knew they could stop the noise by this BS claim.

Like someone buying next to an airport, then complaining to the EPA that they can smell jet fuel.

It's because CA is the land of the self entitled. They figure if they can afford to buy those new homes then they are entitled to modify the world around them to suit their personal tastes.

It's no wonder the residents of so many other states despise Califonians.
