We all know about the companies turning on the NRA. That's a business decision.
We know Liberals will never be "our friends" when it comes to our right to keep and bear arms.
We know many judges are no longer offering solace with their decisions; something which has brought concern to several SCOTUS Justices.
But, when supposed or presumed or former or claimed 'allies' turn on you... Some might begin to feel a little put upon.

People are even concerned that Donald Trump has gone 'soft' when it comes to the 2nd Amendment and things like age limits and/or bump stocks. This is especially true when he seems to be 'dictating' to the NRA when he says things like "they'll go for it" in relation to raising the age limit to 21 the day after the NRA says they are against it...
It's even brought a comment by someone (ahem) named... Brandon Combs (Wildhawker on Calguns)...
Call 'em RINO's if you want. Convince yourself that it's just the media. Defend Trump or remind people he's always been a bit of a question mark with regard to how 'strong' he is on firearms.
But, if you get enough of these people siding against us, in combination with the anti-civil rights elements, we could have a problem.

"The demagogues who grow wealthy by convincing responsible gun owners that some shadowy government agency can’t wait to seize their deer rifles will have a great deal to answer for on Judgment Day"... Peters said he doesn't expect any action from Congress, because lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are "craven." ... "They have put their reelection chances above the lives of American children," Peters lamented. "How can they live with themselves?"
Condoleezza Rice calls for 'conversation' on gun rights 'in the modern world'
"I think it is time for us to have a conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world," Rice told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. "I don’t understand why civilians need to have access to military weapons." ... "We wouldn’t, we wouldn’t say you can go out and buy a tank," she continued. "So I do think we need to have that conversation."

Mast, a retired staff sergeant in the Army, recalled his deployment in Afghanistan and the weapon he carried during that time, an M4 Carbine... "My rifle was very similar to the AR-15-style semiautomatic weapon used to kill students, teachers and a coach I knew at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., where I once lived," wrote Mast, who holds a seat that is "leaning Republican" according to the nonpartisan Cook Political Report... "I cannot support the primary weapon I used to defend our people being used to kill children I swore to defend," he added.
"The NRA will back it and so will Congress," Trump contended as he called for raising the legal age of purchase for "all" guns from 18 to 21. A spokesman later said Trump was speaking specifically about semi-automatic weapons. The president's proposal came just hours after the NRA affirmed its opposition, calling such a restriction an infringement on gun owners' rights.
"If there was an art of the deal, then this would be a deal breaker," said Brandon Combs, president of the California-based Firearms Policy Coalition, making a reference to the title of Trump's 1987 book on business. The coalition said in a statement Tuesday that it would take legal action if necessary to resist Trump's "outrageous lawlessness." ... "Gun owners have been burned too many times over the years," Combs said. "Politicians do whatever they want when they get into office."
