Guys trip BLM land

So my buddies an I want to do a guys trip on or close to blm land that we can just have a fun time shooting, bbq and just hang it. Does anone have any recommendations on possible airbnbs or areas we could stay in a hotel and it would be close? I would love to find a cabin (rental) on some land that we could just go shoot

Buy some BLM maps and find a spot yourself.

We don't share these places on the internet, because the minute it becomes accessible to every Tom, Dick, and Harry who can type "Guys trip BLM land" into Google, the places inevitably get trashed and then the government steps in and closes them down.

Have you thought about camping?

Not a lot as far as motels let alone hotels or Airbnb out there. Unless you stay in Barstow and head north up the 15 a few miles to some off the paved road place you find.

Consider this a public service announcement. When you shoot on public land please, please clean up after yourselves. That means cases, targets and anything else you shoot at that's not biodegradable. Don't use glass bottles because they are impossible to clean up. Clay targets are biodegradable and they're perfect for something to shoot at that breaks up.

I realize people hate being told what they should do, especially by some jerk on the internet they've never met (that would be me), but shooting areas are being closed because some gun owners are being slobs messy. There are three shooting areas within a reasonable driving distance of where I live and they do periodically get cleaned up by "volunteers" but it only takes a weekend before they look like trash dumps again.

Drive to BLM land, set up camp/tents/fire pit/shooting targets in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy.

No need to stay in a hotel

Coalinga has some BLM land near it. Also Harris Ranch steakhouse/bar and hotel are nearby.

Clay targets are biodegradable and they're perfect for something to shoot at that breaks up.

Clay targets do not readily degrade in much of the BLM land in CA. If there isn't sufficient rain those clay chunks will hang out for a VERY long time. Potatoes are more readily biodegradable.

What county? There is camping not far from shooting near Calico.

I cannot think of a single BLM area that would be within 5 miles of a likely AirBnB.
