I'm actually sad I missed out on shooting there.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

      Let's face it, people suck.
No SHT - People buy the property at very low prices then complain about something that was there before they were even born Which they knew about before they purchased the property. WTF

Population growth is the reason. By 2050 we are supposed to be at 500 million. Keep packing them in.

Escondido fish and game and the rainbow gun range are a lot closer to populated areas than this place, and while I understand those are "licensed ranges", I don't understand what these people expect. Like I said it's just sickening how the media portrayed the bias towards the homeowners and totally disregards the rights of the property owner who has the range

so, you know there is a gun range there with people shooting, yet, you call in a report of "shots fired" with the sole purpose of getting a response to something you don't like

how is that not calling in a false report in some respects

if i drove to the Clark County Shooting Complex and phoned in a shots fired call, im betting LE would be pissed at me - might even be in some trouble

That noise to me is the sound of freedom. He should thank God he lives in this country and can hear common citizens making that noise.

And if he hates the sound of freedom so much, then why isn't he vocalizing he wants suppressors legalized so he doesn't have to listen to it?

There are some targets buried in the hillsides at over 500 meters.

The noise from the big caliber guns will be the thing that does them in, if anything.

It's all part of the anti gun agenda. They try to outlaw or ban shooting because of the noise, but don't want suppressors to be legal. If they were legal, that range would be quieter than the traffic on a busy city street.

                    ^ ^ ^ Outstanding response, sir.

According to San Diego County records, the Freedom Fighters Foundation is not a permitted range.

Attorney Wright pointed out the 501c3 non-profit doesn’t have to have a permit. In an email, Wright wrote, “No San Diego County permit is required.” and that it is in an area where “shooting is legal and allowed” and complies with County safety regulations he says.

If that's the case, I can see how there would be conflict.

A similar problem happened to a friend of mine who moved to the northern tip of Idaho. A new congenial next door neighbor moved in and set up a personal training range on his new property - He had no back stop and a few rounds penetrated my friend barn with horses in it (Moose also weather the winter in and around his barn). When my friend spoke with his new neighbor and asked him to set his range up in a different position, the neighbor told him to FCK off and continued shooting rounds / training in his direction.
A short time later my friends neighbor's barn unfortunately burned down along with his tractor and various tools - Just frigin bad luck being such a new home owner - (Probably bad wiring. Who knows? It did create a some excitement for that small community.) The neighbor decided to move his range and built a backstop shortly after. Mother nature comes though again.
I guess there can always be a bit of conflict when new people try to encroach and force their ideas upon others. Things usually / hopefully work out for the best in the long run.

Even with their strong community political influence, It wouldn't surprise me to see Rahaugees and Prado next.
Even here in Salt Lake, BLM shooting areas are becoming scarce. Urban development.

Love the media catch words, "High Powered" "Automatic Weapons" "Sniper Rounds" I didn't read the whole thing but wouldn't be surprised if they mentioned "common sense" in there somewhere

Unfortunately, the owners of the land that the range is upon are at a legal disadvantage. These types of conflicts usually resolve in the favor of the party that uses the land to the highest benefit, and housing has prevailed against feed lots, and other activities that could be characterized as a public or even a private nuisance. This is so universally accepted that it is taught in law school real property classes. See Spur Industries v. Del Webb Development Co., or Stevens v. Rockport Granite Co. Given, California's penchant for being anti-gun, the adjoining landowners may be able to obtain an injunction on shooting on the property. My suggestion to the landowners is to tread lightly.

i doubt prado will be next. it was an olympic shooting park built for the last LA olympics due to the location. that is already a big boost in any legal defense arguments. while there are encroaching housing developments, there is still an archery range, a golf course and an airport all near by.

and concerning this private range in question, i went there for a training class for long range precision shooting. they do have targets in the hillsides all the way out to iirc 1,500ft near the peak of one of the hills (all facing away from the housing).

i am not that surprised seeing news on this. i did wonder when going to the range how far the sounds of the gunshots would go especially with the bolt guns with their brakes. and the weird part is, there is a little tiny shack sized "church" in the middle of the range area. one thing that was stressed was that we were told to tell no one where the location of this range is, and any photos must be taken with the digital location data stripped to prevent any anti-gunners from learning the location.

guess they didn't take into account anti-gun neighbors to the property that can hear all the large caliber braked rifles.

Must be pretty serious for NBC to investigate a shooting range owned by Freedom fighters.

For the record NBC has been blocked from the ja308 household for being in the tank for the antigun democrat party!
