Oh yeah, forgot to add, glock company was a genius in making compatability between handgun sizes, every size works and operates the exact same way, and most mags are compatabile as well, once you start glocking, it's hard not to overcome the inertia when looking for different sizes, calibers, etc.

In fact, you obviously didn't respond to me using your "logic" to show you that Hi Points are superior to Glocks so, I'm sure you just don't want to admit that either your logic is flawed or that you agree that Hi Points are better than Glocks.
      Condescend much?

I asked one of my LGS and the gentleman said they are like Hondas (implying great, reliable, comfortable, affordable and not very exciting). So, please let me know what I have failed to understand about Glocks. I have an itch to make a purchase and would be open to purchasing a Glock.
As many others have said - there's a huge thread about this very thing. In fact, I bet there are several. Take everything with a grain of salt, and be sure to try it out to see how it feels. Most ranges rent guns, and a lot of the available rentals are Glocks.

I have nothing against Glock, I just do not like them. None of the ones I've held have felt "right" in my hand, and the feeling continued when I tried firing them despite my dislike for how they feel. That doesn't make them bad guns, it just makes them bad guns *for me*. You have to be comfortable with how a gun feels in your hand, and that gun for me is not Glock. Or anything in the Springfield XD line. Which really sucks because that rules out a lot of otherwise decent and affordable guns from the list for me. YMMV.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

Glocks are the ak rifles that shouldn't jammed, But glocks are those type called ar in the market where all parts are over flooded and can be buy just about anywhere. Both Glock & Ar15 are ugly but once you fix them up some are very sexy and some are not. Like you said just like a civic where adding lips make it look nice but like some by Sia the put fully body kit on and think that they're the fast of furious. Will that's how some people do to their Glock and Ar... Spending more money than they shouldn't but that just them. Glock as the AK47 like a Toyota that will run even if the wheels fall off. Unlike all Americans car/truck that will spend their life in the shop than the street. Hope this help but if you want something different than good luck cause with CA roster everyone has just about the same guns in pistol/handgun class. Just like in the very old old dayz where you only get to pick two types of sidearm a revolver in .32/38 or a 1911.

Glocks are simply economy combat pistols. They function, are not fancy, and are reliable.

What are your plans for the pistol? Do you plan on shooting your pistol? Get a Glock. Do you plan on sitting at home and stroking your pistol? Get something else.

I was unable to pull the trigger on the last target of the last stage of last week's competition.
I thought it was probably finger fatigue, but researched trigger replacements anyway.
                    Bought the Glocktriggers.com Hackathorn trigger.
All the parts are OEM Glock but polished and smoothed.
They offer a stock firing pin spring (carry/duty) or lighter (competition only).
                    I installed the stock spring.
Dry firing seemed pretty much the same.
Took it to the range and WHOA!
What a difference -- much smoother.
