    CROSSROADS gun shows

I searched numerous threads on the Crossroads of the West gun shows, and they all apear to be two to 5 years old.

I have only ever been to the Del Mar show, and have seen it shrink steadily over the years to a shadow of its former self.

I am wondering if anyone has been to the Ontario and/or Costa Mesa shows recently, and if they think it's worth driving to from out of town.

    Thanks

Sadly they are just like Del Mar or worse. Pretty much why nobody talks about them.

Out of town? No way. Unless you just.want to throw away some money.
      Beef jerky is cheaper online.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Costa Mesa is the largest gun show in southern Ca.

To me, if you have to drive much more than an hour....not worth it.

Went to the Crossroads show in Costa Mesa last weekend. Didn't buy much, just some gun-related accessories, aftermarket Ruger 10/22 parts, and a Spyderco knife.

I wouldn't drive in from out of town unless you set your expectations very low. Then again, your expections should be low regardless of where you're coming from.

Tip: park in the lot for the swap meet, it's free.

The Costa Mesa show this past weekend was absolutely terrible. a LOT of really good vendors were absent. HMK, Gene who sold great milsurps, a lot of the vendors in the huntington building didn't show up. Maybe rising cost of booth space weren't worth it, due to a lot less show goers.

But, $18 + parking fee is a rip off for the numerous empty tables present. Prices are increasing with less and less vendors. Every time I go I tell myself its the last time. But every time I succumb and go to the show it gets worse and worse. This time I felt actively robbed.

I did notice a lot less active show goers this time.. No line, not many people browsing around...

I don't believe the show is worth it, but for a first time maybe to make your own decision. Just know that each show as time goes on there are less and less vendors. I think this time had less than 30 firearm related tables for the whole show.

I never went to the old gun shows so my expectations are low. I go their for small things. Never bought a gun at the gun show.

I was talking to many of the vendors at Costa Mesa last month. Having a gun show the day after SHOT Show was the reason that there was light attendance by many of the vendors. Getting back from Vegas just to do a U-turn to go to a show was just too much for many of them, so they opted out.

I hate Crossroads. They make you pay for 2 days even if you only want to go 1 day. They also gouge for the tables, so the vendors have to jack prices up to pay for them. If Crossroads was a Dem plot to kill gun shows, they couldn't have done a better job.

I dont feel comfortable buying a firearm at the gun show, because the seller is usually not from your area, or you have to worry about another dealer to transfer it that you dont know or trust.

buying from a regular retail store is better even if it costs more, a place you know will still be around for a while.

Gun Shows are a thing from before the Internet.

                              Now days, what's the point?
