That's great news. I didn't realize how much money is just laying on the ground where I shoot (BLM land). I've been trying to save enough cans to buy a lower but now I just might get enough free money to buy everything for a complete build. That's my goal...build a complete rifle without paying anything out of pocket. That's better than free beer!sigpic
Then, Sir, we will give them the bayonet! (Stonewall Jackson's reply to Colonel B.E. Bee when he reported that the enemy were beating them back. At the first battle of Bull Run, July 1861)

Everybody in here thinking about recycling, check out my post in the 2728 bill thread, I'm currently paying DOUBLE PRICE for those people who are wanting to scrap their OLL. Current prices are $0.16 /lb for steel and $1.17 /lb for aluminum. Again, I will pay double these prices, and also absorb the transfer cost, as it is technically still a firearm until it is destroyed.Originally posted by Rob454I would bang her till her insurance kicked in. I'll tear that up.Originally posted by gravediggerI need your help. Why would anyone want to sell you an OLL for $2? Are you kidding me?
You can sell these to the free states for their value, OLL's are not scrap metal.
I can't believe I'm reading this, and yes I saw your post in the 2728... "for a limited time" you are offering double the scrap rates for OLL's. WOWWEEE!!! Looks like we hit the jackpot. Meanwhile, you can sell it to a guy in Texas for $50+.
Oh yeah, your not fooling anyone with your name.
Or maybe it's just a bike JOKE? I dunno.Last edited by Nak; 10-02-2006, 5:23 PM."Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve." - Dr. Napoleon HillComment

I wish they had that for sale. Maybe someone on this board would find it useful.
I think he is actually serious, as in his other post:
"Until it's actually destroyed, it's still a firearm, so we would have to do a transfer just like any other firearm, but again, I'll absorb the cost of this. I've also heard of wierd OLLs in other metals, to save weight and stuff, if you have one of these, PM me and we'll talk."
Who knows, if it's sarcasm, its "I can't believe its not sarcasm" brand. Maybe I'm just off my hinges today
Afterall, I've got the stomach flu, and that hasn't happened to me in at least 10 years!

Personally, I'd thought it was a joke. Last weekend, I think it was, someone was saying our lowers are all useless pieces of scrap metal if they're not listed. I believe the offer of buying them as scrap metal was advanced at that point.
