Wow! thats good, better than aluminum isn't it? I have a tupper ware container full of brass, I sorted half of it so far and i have a bunch of 9mm and .40 S&W since i only load .45 acp and .38/.357 the rest just sit in the tube. Did you have to deprime all that brass or did they take it " as is" with the primer?

Wow! That's the best news I've heard all day. Thanks.

I only have a grocery store plastic bag of a box or two of spent brass, but it's a start.

Yea... people don't pick up their wolf steel cased ammo... its their loss

I believe ammo bros buys recyclable steel cased ammo/brass also.

id like to keep it, but the local range claims ownership of all brass from guns fired there. better yet, they dont allow steel/aluminum cased ammo to be fired.

                Even your brass?

Thanks for the heads up. !@#$% I've shot about 500 rounds of 9mm the past two weeks. Didn't save it because I don't plan on reloading 9mm.

You need to find an outdoor range or shoot in some BLM. Just be careful... its easy to lose brass or ear plugs which then you have to use brass as earplugs if you hadn't lost the brass.

Save your beer/soda cans too! Aluminum is getting about .80/pound and it takes about 38-44 cans for a pound. We toss all cans into a box in the garage and the 11 year old crushes them 3-4 at a time and bags them in plastic. Then every 3-4 months we take them in and I let him keep the cash of about $60-80.

We help the environment, save trash hauling expenses cause we get more in our regular trash can (we are one of the few on our block without two large trash cans) and gives my son an upper body workout.

Personally I wouldn't do it myself but as long as my son keeps wanting to do it...

I recycle but I let the city take care of it. I don't drink that much soda and the closest place to drop cans off smells HORRIBLE. I throw paper, glass, broke plates, boxes, etc etc into the recycling bin and let them take care of it.

How do you know which brass is reloadable as compared to brass that is not? I wanted to pick up some reloading equipment, and wanted to save all the brass I shot. I just picked up a 1000rnd can of Guatemalan (from ammobros) and another 1000rnd of Radway from AIM. Of course I would be purchasing new brass - but I do have lots of milsurp that I would like to burn through

its reloadable if its made of brass, but if its steel, aluminum or some weird metal, its probably one time use. also make sure its boxer primed.

Badlands.... I don't know the specifics about it... but it is land far from public roads and a good distance away from any structures.

your allowed to shoot at this area. Some National Forests have designated areas and desert land. Like palm springs/desert hot springs has lots of BLM.

I bet zzyzx road is pretty barren and has some blm over in san bernadino county.
