    Dealing with a new iTrader...

Despite the general warning about dealing with a new iTrader, I decided to strike a deal with a new iTrader in the Market Place for sale of one of my items, because I figure everyone starts fresh and I wanted to give him a chance. He's got one positive review so far.

We struck a deal last night on one of my Market Place posts and decided to meet up today at 10:30am. Comes 10:30am and I got this text from him.

So we postponed the meeting to 12pm and he said he will be there for sure. I got there and texted him to tell him that I have arrived and got this reply.

I texted him a few more times and tried calling him a couple of times, he stopped picking up the phone. His last text response was that he was on the phone with his attorney. Haven't heard anything from him since.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited till now before I leave a negative review on his iTrader rating. He will probably retaliate, which is why I am creating this thread to show proof of what happened.

I wouldn't leave a negative yet, seems pre mature. Stuff does happen I have had a few of these end up playing out for the better.

Sure, I will wait some more. But if it was me, I would at least provide an update to the seller.

Sounds like a complete and total jagoff. Literally expecting you to understand his wasting HOURS of your time, and of course it's not HIS fault...
What an inconsiderate, immature, utterly self-absorbed moron. There is absolutely no excuse for stringing you along like that for hours besides mental retardation or sociopathy.

I've apologized 100 times more when I'm 10 minutes late, and didn't blame it on my "work" or other weak arse excuse. I manned up, apologized and offered generous compensation for waiting.

I'm a new I trader with 2 transactions. This is unacceptable.
As a business owner (contractor) I wouldn't dream of spitting out such foul language to a complete stranger and then stringing them along. Bad business and a non professional attitude.

I wouldn’t have waited to leave a negative. I would have left the negative right after the second text.

                      When I leave itrader feedback it's almost always this;

Good communication, On time, No hassles.

Your guy violated all of my pet peeves.

Can you imagine what it's like working with this guy?

                      What a nightmare.

And the language! I do construction so of course cussing happens, but this guy doesn't know you, very discourteous.

I’ll be the first to admit that I have had to reschedule or back out of a few deals due to work/personal issues arising, sometimes life gets in the way. Always regrettable on my part and I’m sure it’s left the other party frustrated more so. And like others I hate to have my time wasted as well as wasting others.

But guy and his behavior is not only odd but just flat out lame. Being late by a few minutes isn’t a deal breaker to me, but multiple delays backed up by BS excuses and juvenile language when conducting business is. I wouldn’t leave a negative review but rather just not deal with him, period.

Ultimately his loss. There’s lots of great people here to deal with, but if he keeps it up then not many will be willing to with him.

If I make a promise to meet someone for a deal that takes all priority unless some life threatening family issues pop up, which they can and do on occasion. I would understand if that was the case for either party involved in a deal and would gladly reschedule.

My word means something and I intend to keep it that way. I'm a contractor and run my own business. I've heard every excuse in the book for being late. This gentleman has some growing up to do.

OP, Soory to hear this jackazz wasted your time. Hopefully you didn't have to drive too far.

If it were me, I would go with the scorched earth method, burn him down. Leave negative feedback and out him.

This is exactly the type of person I do not want to deal with. PM inbound, I would prefer to do a preemptive add to ignore list for this guy.
