    Prone shooting and bursitis

Anyone else have this problem? Happened to me for the first time last weekend, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to avoid getting it again in the future.

Is it real bursitis or are you being sarcastic? Who diagnosed you?

Back side of your elbow? I could understand bursitis in your shoulder more than your elbow. You sure it isn't tendonitis instead?

It is the new year you know, started doing pushups, bench presses, tricep work lately?

You could wear elbow pads perhaps? I seem to do better shooting my rifle prone, but find it's more comfortable to shoot while standing on the tailgate of my 4Runner and using the roof to stabilize my gun.

Were you using a sling? I ask because some people don't use a sling, and they balance the rifle on the point of the elbow.

                      Ice your elbows

Then, buy a shooting mat and spend $10 on elbow pads.

It's swollen on the ball of my elbow if that makes any sense. It's only in my right arm (right side dominate). Haha nope not a thing, even though I should start working out

Copy, swollen balls. I'd suggest talking to your doctor.
