Hear, hear. I enjoy practice with my .45 auto Springfield 1911s, but I'm also very much enjoying shooting my Ruger single action whirlenpoppers. My favorite rifles to shoot are my .357, .41 and .44 lever carbines and a bolt .308. I still sho0t my AR but haven't since December due to the decision to go featureless. It sits in two pieces presently.

Just because I prefer them when hunting, I shoot my bolt action rifles way more than my semi-autos, my current target shooting favorite is a Ruger RPR in 6.5CM. I prefer pistols to revolvers unless we're just out shooting 2 liter bottles or letting friends fire stuff they've never shot before.

Cleaning guns is a chore for me anyway, but I especially hate cleaning revolvers.

opposite for me.

shot friend's revolver and i was so glad to go back to my semi with box magazines.

shoot my bolt action, and damn glad to go back to my semi rifles

shot my pump shotgun, and glad to shoot my semi shotgun.

Recently had several magazine failures. That won't happen with revolvers.

I have bent tubular mags on rifles and shotguns ...

After multiple switches from semi autos(AK, 10/22, M&P, HP22A, XD) got the Henry and Heritage and I could swear I start to dislike the semi autos. Recently on the get it list I have the LCRx 22 and maybe a GP100 357/38 7shot and another Henry All weather 357/38. Did this happen to you?
