    Changing reticles on existing scope

I know its possible to order scopes with custom reticles directly from certain companies, but is it possible to get a reticle changed on a scope that you already have? I ask because I have a Leupold VX-II with a Target Dot reticle and although it is nice for very precise shooting with its almost invisible crosshairs and 1/8 MOA dot, I would prefer something a little more practical. Is there any way I can send my scope to some place that will change my reticle? I was thinking maybe I could change it to a Mil-dot type addition yet keep my center dot. Is this possible or am I SOL?

You can send it into Leupold and their Custom Shop can swap out the reticle for you.
