Not judging the news since the investigation is ongoing. It reminds me the question I had for a long time. How do one avoid self defense looks like an offensive action?
For example, in a scenario like the news, Allen attacks Dean with a knife. Dean draws his gun and shoots Allen in the leg then hold him under gunpoint. Police officer arrives and sees Dean pointing a gun toward Allen. He fires several shots at Dean to end the "aggression". Or a conceal carry guy who sees only what happened after the gunshot, comes to the rescue of Allen ...
