    Ammo -GONE!

    Went to Bass Pro in Rocklin yesterday. Ammo shelves were nearly empty.

              The funny thing is that none the Walmarts here have had any .22lr for 3 years until the last couple of weeks.. Now I've seen it in all the ones I've frequented.. .22lr has always been in the LGSs at a normal price for a long time though.
              Maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe Walmart's anticipating selling less in California now?

                  the ammo vendors will hold back on ammo and try to make it appear there is a shortage, and raise the prices

                  the same thing happens at gun shows, dealers hold back on stock to make the demand for it go up.

                  they will say they arent shipping to CA, a gun shop already told me he cant get reloading supplies because they arent shipping.

                              Oh, that would be the new 2020 Ammo where all firearms in Cali must have serially numbered and microchipped casings + microstamping capability in the firearm. If the serial number of your cartridge doesn't match what you purchased and registered, the gun won't fire it.

                                  Same with the San Jose bass pro. Almost empty shelves. It did appear to me that their reloading area got bigger but that coulda been my imagination.

                                          maybe they were getting ready for the 2018 requirement that all ammo be behind locked shelves.

                                          they need to move the ammo to the backroom so they can tear down the current shelves and install locking shelves.
