Recommend Las Vegas pistol range

Indoor range....American Shooters. Near Chinatown, close to the Rio. This is not the machine gun crowd. Really nice place with state of the art air filtering and a great gun store loaded with things we can't buy in CA

American Shooter. Five minutes from the Strip off of Spring Mountain road on Arville. They also have a very nice gun shop/display so you can drool over stuff.

They supported Calif folks during SSE days.

Yup! Friend and I had a wonderful experience at American Shooters Range. Automated target system, huge store, and reasonably priced.

I just got back from Vegas. Discount Firearms wouldn't even show me one, since I was from California. They gave me a story about how if I dropped and scratched it they would have trouble selling it. This when they weren't busy.

American Firearms was cool even though I let them know I was from out of town. I told them the specific three models that I would like to see. The clerk was friendly, didn't rush me, and explained some of the finer points between the models. They didn't have one model in stock and told me where I could get one at a good price. As for the two models that were in stock, their prices were really good.

Front Sight the largest outdoor range in the US is around 40 miles outside of Las Vegas.

Can you comfortably shoot outdoors or is it key to have a heated indoor range?

Yep. Outdoors is what the heavy jacket is for. As for shooting indoors, when I was a kid we sometimes drove all the way out to our property in Needles but could even pull off the road not far from current Irvine and shoot hand thrown skeet with the 12 gauge.

the only firearm you cannot buy is off roster or non ca compliant. buy it and have shipped to your ffl of choice

I shoot pistol and trap at Clark county range.
The trap shooters were really good and had targets dialed in.
After I missed 5 in a row, I loudly proclaimed “ I’m from California “
Which brought some good natured chuckles !
After the round we all sat together and 3 of 5 said they moved out of California!
Moral of this story, there are places in free states that welcome California shooters .

This. I've written several reviews of this place. It's a family friendly range with good RSOs and a beautiful facility.

I concur and i believe the complex is only 35 percent complete. Added bonus is 50 bmg is allowed for the 200 yard lanes. Managed to set off someone's car alarm twice.

I spend 4-6 months of the year in Las Vegas, and American Shooters is my go-to indoor range. My suggestion is to go earlier in the week, and try to get out by 3PM. After 3PM the cholos show up and like to pose for selfies with their muzzles pointing down the line, and the ROs are too busy with tourists to notice. After noon on Fridays on the weekends it's all tourists.

Earlier in the week, before 3PM, it's fine. I've also shot at Discount Firearms and Green Valley Range, and would go to either if American Shooters was closed (it's closed on Mondays). Green Valley Range has seven members-only lanes.
