    Recommend Las Vegas pistol range

I want to take the family to shoot pistols while in Summerlin, which is just outside of Las Vegas. Can anyone recommend a good range? I want to avoid those catering to tourists and people looking for exotic thrills.

Sounds like I will give it a go, especially as I would also like to do some skeet with the son, as well as pistols with him and the wife. Is the restaurant there okay for a burger? Also, is there any point in buying ammo while in Vegas. I reload for shotgun and only shoot 9 mm for pistol, which so far has been so cheap I just buy it a Walmart. I have already loaded up on the expensive stuff for defense on line.

That is about your only option if trying to avoid the rent a machine gun crowd.

Indoor range....American Shooters. Near Chinatown, close to the Rio. This is not the machine gun crowd. Really nice place with state of the art air filtering and a great gun store loaded with things we can't buy in CA

Discount firearms on S Highland drive. Indoor range and yes they rent machine guns but it’s never crowded. Many locals shop there. Good prices. Friendly staff.

I've been here & can confirm there are plenty of off roster goodies if you're itching for some trigger time and have a few hours before your flight back to CA

FWIW, they also do HR218 requals for your LEOSA folks that have relocated to NV from elsewhere.

American Shooter. Five minutes from the Strip off of Spring Mountain road on Arville. They also have a very nice gun shop/display so you can drool over stuff.

They supported Calif folks during SSE days.

Is that the big place out near Red Rock? Soldier of Fortune used to do their demonstrations out there way back when.

That was at Las Vegas gun club.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

This. I've written several reviews of this place. It's a family friendly range with good RSOs and a beautiful facility.
