Pricing is based on one's rent and other expenses. Nothing to say about that.

But, not helping a customer when no one else around is not good business practice and does not speak well of VC's.

      OP, Just curious . . . . .

Did you go in there for the first time, realize they were priced very high, and walk out without buying anything?

Or did you see the prices were high and bought the items anyway?

As others have said, running a brick&mortar shop in a high rent area will typically result in high retail to the customers due to high overhead. As such, I would not expect bargain pricing at such a shop.

If I went to a shop to get something I needed, and the pricing was higher than expected, I would:
      - consider the value of paying their price and getting the item I needed now, vs leaving without it and getting it somewhere else
      - then either buy it or not.

Either way, it's my decision to purchase, and once I do, I can not hold another responsible for myself overpaying.

I wouldn’t of had a problem paying retail but I went in there on my one day off to get some parts only to find out later it was over retail. I get shops have to make money, but sell it for retail.
