For what its worth I got the same info just a few days ago from my local Susanville, Ca Walmart guy. One of the local Gun shops is running radio adds saying they are here to continue serving gun owners and will be offiering the lowest prices they can.

Maybe all gun owners should march in the Rose Parade in protest.

They ask for ID at my Walmart for age requirements, rings up the same way for booze. Their ammo has been in a glass case since I can remember.

I have been thinking about this and couldn't figure out as to WHY the need for ID? So, it has to do with AGE. And all this time I thought it had to do with whether you're legal and sane to buy the ammo. But I guess those things aren't important - as long as you're over 18, who cares if you're legal or sane? RIGHT?

Sportsmans Warehouse has a sale on ammo & primers

all handgun ammo was 15% off , primers were marked down to $24.99 for 1000, but they were out of Winchester 209 shotgun primers

Was at the Madera Walmart Monday and bought ammo. The cashier had to call the person that was licensed to help me. I mentioned that I thought that it didn't start until the 1st and was told they had started in advance of the law. Transaction went smoothly and I wasn't asked for ID, just my birthdate. Previously I have been asked for ID occasionally at that store. Sorta hit and miss (much like my target practice).

The ammo people at Walmart are 10x smarter than the mall ninjas working the counter at our local gun stores.

I asked what the plan was going to be in January and he replied that he has already jumped through the requisite hoops to continue to sell ammunition and all one needs to do is cough up their driver's license and you're good to go.

The Wal-Mart employees I talked to at the Rancho Cucamonga store last night told me the same thing. Just a drivers licence.

I was at the Anaheim store and they said some of the local Walmarts might stop carrying ammo altogether.

And today I went to try to buy some shotshells and the Walmart in Westminster already stopped selling ammo.

WOW sounds like the same guy @ our Colton Wal-Mart. A guy that really loves his job selling ammo.

Supposedly Colton won't be selling ammo next year.
