I'd be less suspicious if the communication was less conflicting and or non existent.

All I want is an explanation of where my stuff is, a tracking number, or a refund. I did three transactions within a few minutes of each other. The other two are here, one came from north Carolina. Both sellers in those transactions sent packing numbers and even PM'd me asking if the stuff arrived.

The transaction covered in this thread has been like pulling teeth and the story keeps evolving....so no I am not paranoid.

I have sent a money order for $7,500.00 for a nice M3HB in texas so its not like this is my first rodeo....but the follow up on this one is bizarro

Think you jumped to conclusions OP.. sounds like he shipped via regular mail using stamps. I’ve had packages take 10 days before delivery using this method. If he just used stamps, he may not have received a tracking number.

FWIW, I’ve dealt with him before, and had a good experience. I think you’ll get your stuff.

And for future reference, just pay the 3% PP fee. Would have cost you $1.20 for added insurance...

Seriously, for a long time member with all positive iTrader rating, you really think he will cheat you out of $40?

You are going to feel really stupid when the package arrives today. Best start thinking of a good apology story to the seller and take back your negative iTrader review.

The only thing this post will do is to hurt your future transactions on CalGuns. I'm sure nobody wants to sell to you and risk getting a negative rating if the package is delayed, especially around the holidays when it's their busiest time of the year.

I used PP friends/family a lot when purchasing stuff through the forum. Nowadays if I do it, I just do the xfer when I am physically present at the deal site.

I don't like PayPal's politics but it is a convenient form to send and receive funds. However, when someone suggests that I send the money as a gift, I won't do it. I will add in an additional amount so that the seller receives the exact amount we agreed upon. In the event I have been scammed, I have preserved my ability to file a claim with PayPal and possibly recover my funds.

No package. Maybe the northern routes are jammed. I bought some center bits in ebay yesterday from el centro and they arrived today. If he shipped last Wednesday as he said he did....that's a week.

I bet if it was shipped it was 11/27. Just give me the truth is what I'm saying.

shipping is all sorts of messed up at the moment. all the usps trucks are full, sorting facilities are full and understaffed, etc etc.

I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt here. It's only been 8 days since you posted "I'll take it" and he had 100% positive feedback over 23 transactions. I doubt he would go through all the trouble of building up a solid feedback score just to scam someone out of $40.

Now if the item doesn't show up tomorrow, I would demand a copy of the receipt/tracking number. not sure why he is withholding that info, as sharing it would have saved both of you a lot of headache.

I tend to agree here. 7-8 days and you already made a thread about it? Guy has 23 iTrader, I would have waited a little bit more before smearing him and affecting motivation to make it right.

Relax OP. You act like the guy has possession of your soul and your firstborn son. If you get the item, all good. Delays happen, it's the Holidays.... You are expecting Gucci service for Walmart prices....

i'm pretty sure committing fraud using the postal service is a really serious offense. Forget paypal. I'd document it and report it to the US Postal Service inspector. I bet that'll get results really fast.

It is very hard to prove mail fraud. I got cheated through the mail by some guy on Gunbroker for $50. The USPS did nothing. First, you have to prove the guy intentionally offered something for sale that he didn't have. In other words, he planned on defrauding you. That is almost impossible unless he defrauding multiple people with the same item.

I'm hoping he does too, or even just lets me know wtf is going on. That's all I want. Communication but no death threats. Actually I want a refund. If the stuff shows up I'll ship it back. I already bought the rings because as I needed them tomorrow - something I made clear when I bought them.

And the bs about shipping systems being overloaded is just that - bs. Every other item I've ordered over the last twenty years has shown up in s timely manner, including the five packages this week. Eat dirt was one of the guys who shipped to me. I bet he hasn't lost any packages intobthe cosmic dust this past week.
