I have shot a mp5 clone in 40sw. It was a really nice combo, but I think I would rather have 10mm in a sub gun sized rigComment

Pair it up with a keltec sub 2000 with 40sw and sig magazine setup. You would be in heaven

I love .40 so clean and crisp. Course I also love 10mm. Plus as OP noted lots of deals on 40'sOnly slaves don't need guns

I have nothing against the 40. I just think it was an answer to a question never asked by non-LE people. But then there are many other rifle/pistol cartridges that fit that also.
I think it is good to have choices. Even if I am not interested it one myself. All of the 9mm and 45ACP pistols I have cover what I want and I do not get to shoot them enough as it is.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

We have been at war for a long time
FBI data says- shot placement is what ends the fight.
So
1- have a Gun that is small enough you will carry it - 44 mag with a 10” barrel just will not be carried daily
2- learn to put shots into center of mass - while they are moving and you are moving
3- carry a major cabilbe that enables you to shoot it well and fast. If you are really slow to get .40/.45 into center of mass and you are fast with 9mm, consider 9mmRule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

No, you are not alone. You simply aren't racing after the latest fad , There's no reason to dump your .40's and every reason yo increase your collection. The fad types are dumping their 40's so you will find some real bargains. The ammo is widely available and less likely to run out of stock and like you implied(sort of)--If you're limited to 10 rounds, why not make them bigger and heavier than a 9?I am feeling like I am just missing something. I know that new 9mm loads have lessened the need for the 40sw. I just feel that here is CA with our 10 round limits that the 40sw is getting over looked.
I have picked up a K40 and G27 for what I would consider under market and once I get my new G27 in my CCW I am thinking of trying to swap my G19 for a G23. I have a M&P40 that I got about 5 years ago that I really enjoy as well.
I reload so the cost to shoot 9mm vs 40 is maybe $10 per 1000 rounds if that so that’s not an issue for me. Reloading allows me to roll rounds that go from mild to wild.
I am I alone with in liking the 40? I am thinking about adding a Sig 2022 or PX4 as well.
Keep your 40's, expand your collection!sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment
