    DOJ gun roster

Curious....has any semi-auto handgun been added to the roster this year (or in 2016)? I ask because I was told the courts found the micro-stamping law illegal to implement (or is that not true?).

Can't add anything new until someone invents microstamping, right,

New revolvers, yes. Microstamping is exempt on revolvers.
New semi-autos, no. Microstamping is still a requirement on them.

Hought they added a few hk's and kahrs with color variations?
The models were already on the roster but they added like grey and bronze?

The court didn't find the law illegal to implement, the court simply reinstated the suit after another judge tossed it out. It's still winding it's way through the legal system. IIRC it's with SCOTUS to decide if the plaintiff can actually bring the case against the state, and then if found so would be remanded back to the lower court for trial....

The main CalGuns thread regarding this case can be found here.

The trick is the meaning of "any."

Yes, some semi-automatic handguns were indeed added to the roster, but only because there are a few clauses that provide very special and narrow exemptions in the law.

However, the way a regular person would understand the question, the answer is NO. (It's actually "H@LL NO," but let's not get into details here.)
