Why do you say someone doesn't need FFP inside of 600 yards? Run a scope on full power all the time, how do you shoot through mirage when it's 85+ degrees out?

Well I guess I'm just coming from my standpoint on the subject with a very limited understanding of long range shooting.

I guess I have no authority to make suggestions about something I don't even own, or operate, or fully understand regarding FFp/ vs not, or leaving the scope fully zoomed.

Although it was a pretty vague post hes got beginner lvl optics and FFp 24x is like top tier level, seems like big jump.

I guess it may come down to conditions in that case. Your coming from a desert, i'm in temperate forest.

However he is asking If 14x will be enough for 600 yards and i say yes from my experience it is.

        disregard the rest..

milliradians at different levels of zoom w/o FFP out of my league.. so ya that is why i'm making the next jump up hopefully in a couple weeks, took a while tho.

op: by all means skip a step, or two, spend bank get it right the first time.. don't be me.

            I like Mo' POWA !!!

I cant think of any scope that has glass lens made in the USA.
Leupold still makes USA parts, but foreign glass, prolly been that way for over 20 years.

A product made overseas is required to label the country of manufacturer for import into the US.
