what would be a really good all around AR?
Will be used to take PIG, Deer and beat to **** when training.
with all these new laws coming into play is it worth getting into an AR?
Would a M1 carbine or Springfield Scout be a better option?

300 works best suppressed and drops off at longer distances
for pig/deer get 6.8

I would go the build route as well. Then you can get what you want. I would go with a lower, parts kit, BCG and completed upper. It takes longer to get the parts ordered than it takes to put them together. If you get the upper setup the way you want changing calibers is just a barrel and possibly a bold.

I would target 1000 on the rifle and the 800 on the glass and if you had coin left over a nice drop in trigger.

And 300 blackout even the in 110gr drops below 1000 ft/lb well before 200 yards. I would not want to take game with it at more than 150 yards.

For $1800 you have alot of options, I personally would go decent bolt action for that price and a cheap AR for black Friday. If it we're prior to Jan 1 last year I would have pushed you towards an AR 10 but the featureless set up just really isn't my cup of tea.
