Aside from about three vendors, that gun show sucks anyways. Half of the merchandise appears to be Chinese airsoft gear and accessories, the other half over priced militaria.

The greed of Crossroads and others are what killed gun shows. They charge $110 for a table, or more. How much actual gun stuff can a vendor overprice and actually sell in order to just break even after paying a table fee and parking? They have to hope to find some really naive and underinformed buyers.

                    Exactly.
I haven't been to a California gun show in decades, and won't be going ever.
Try going to one in Idaho or Arizona; so much better.

The final dagger in the heart for California gun shows will be background checks for ammo. Kiss crossroads of the west goodbye in Cali. I cant imagine what they will be charging for an entry fee or table when you cant even walk out the door with some ammo. Besides the occasional deal on ammo there isn't anything at a show you cant get online or at your local shop. Going, going, gone.

Since the title included a "suprise" i thought their might have been a good deal on something gun related

As a vendor who travels all over California going to mostly crossroads shows, I agree with you. Attendance seems to have been down the last year for sure. Mostly because trump ended the panic I believe. But there never fails to be a big line at the ammo booths. Hell most people that buy from me have a case or two on a cart.

Guns Shows are more akin to brick and mortar stores, saddled with high operating costs ( More so in Kali ) plus growing gov't regulations and restrictions. The internet as much as State and Local Gov'ts are killing them off. After the 1st of the year, Gone, Gone and Gone.
Sad... I remember the Great Western in Pomona. Now that was a SHOW!
