Just get a shed in your backyard. Get your kids, nephews, Godsons all over to move it all into the shed while you inventory it as they go by.
Pay them off in ammo and pizza.

if CA can't even stop people from crossing the small border with mexico, i really doubt they can stop ammo smugglers from crossing a border that is multitudes bigger. CA can't afford to patrol all roads, trails, docks that lead into CA.

I'm hoping for the injunction. However, since I will be retired on Jan 11th I have every intention of ignoring this idiotic law. I'll get the "license" to look good, but that is the ONLY feature of this ridiculous legislation I intend to comply with.

It's easily done, so I've heard.

Correct! The 'cost' to enforce the law would require to stop and search every vehicle entering California. The state would have to hire additional trained agents and equipment needed. How is Jerry going to pay for that? Oh wait, I forgot, the new 'gas and registration' tax. Screw the dams and the roads, we got damn dirty 'ammo smugglers' to deal with.

I can see the headlines now, "Vacationing family detained and placed under arrest when special munitions sniffing dogs and their handlers located a HUGE illegal stash of over 100 .22 cal boolits hidden inside the door panels of a 59 Rambler station wagon....

I think this might be the most effective and evil way they’ve come up with to choke the life out of the shooting sports and the 2A. It will truly be a rich mans sport only. The poor couldn’t afford this hobby at brick and mortar store prices as is. Forget affordable ammo after 2018. Reloaders will not be safe soon either.

I haven't really panicked or bought more than I need over the last couple years. At the moment (and probably for the next 2-3 years) ammo prices will likely continue to drop. Sure you need to pay for the livescan to get your COE, but overall in my case I feel I'll be saving money next year compared to 2012- 2016.

Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Some folks are stocking up on ammo that is not readily available in the typical gun store or Walmart.

For the next few weeks we have access to a vast array of ammo types that are both available and affordable.

Do you know what the average gun store will charge to order and receive ammo from mail order sellers, or if they will even provide the service?

                        Neither do I…
I think enough of the online retailers have jumped on board that it shouldn't be an issue. I will continue to have them ship direct next year and not have it send through a middle man.

This needs quoting for a 2018 laugh.

My LGS is already charging $15 a box for what costs me $10 online...more at the range

stores can only charge $10 for the transaction, but the store can charge more as long as they detail it separately from the $10 fee. so stores can add a storage fee if they want and there is no limit on how high they can charge this.

i think he is inferring that since he will obtain his C&R FFL license and the COE that it won't cost him that much in the long run. people who have the C&R FFL and COE can still order ammo online and have it shipped directly to their house.

Unless you have you COE and FFL, how exactly do you plan to execute this grand scheme?

I've been buying ammo and reloading components at about 10x my shooting rate for the past few decades. Plenty of storage area here on the farm with a barn and shop (cool and dry). I doubt I will need anything for the rest of my life and my kids can benefit from what is left over.
